DEAR MR.DALLAS ROARK Dear ///// Thank you for your email. Let me begin by saying there is nothing to buy.!!
It is all FREE. Let me share my story. When I was a young person I prayed and asked Jesus to come into my life. He did and my life has been filled with joy, happiness, and love. ...”an angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. I was a sinner, still am, and need a Savior. Jesus came to save me and you, and all who will receive Him into their lives. All of this is a gift. You don’t work for a gift, you receive it by holding out your hand and letting the gift be placed in your hand. In the same sense, Jesus wants to come into your life and you have to open your heart, ask Him to come into your life and be your Saviour, to forgive your sins and give you everlasting life in the presence of God.. You can pray a simple prayer like this: Lord Jesus, I do not know all about you but I believe you are the Savior for mankind. I want you to come into my life, forgive my sins, save me and give me your gift of eternal life. I ask this in your name, Jesus. Amen. Why talk about receiving Him? The Gospel says, “He was in the world, and the world was made through him, and the world knew him not. He came unto his own, and they that were his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he the right to become children of God, even to them that believe on his name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. (John 1:10-13) You may not be familiar with one of the often quoted verses in the Gospels. It is as follows: There are a number of comments by Jesus about eternal life. “The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son hath eternal life; but he that obeyeth not the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abideth on him.” (John 3:35-36) “For what my Father wants is that all who see the Son and believe in him should have eternal life. And I will raise them to life on the last day." (John 6:40) “ I give them eternal life, and they shall never die. No one can snatch them away from me.” (John 10:18) “After Jesus finished saying this, he looked up to heaven and said, "Father, the hour has come. Give glory to your Son, so that the Son may give glory to you. For you gave him authority over all people, so that he might give eternal life to all those you gave him. And eternal life means to know you, the only true God, and to know Jesus Christ, whom you sent.” (John 17:1-3) This message was preached by the Apostles in the very beginning of the Christian gospel There is no other way to Eternal Life in the presence of God except in Jesus. There is eternal life without God in hell. Only people who chose to reject God have no other place to go except away from his presence–which is hell. Jesus told his disciples the following: "Do not be worried and upset," Jesus told them. "Believe in God and believe also in me. There are many rooms in my Father's house, and I am going to prepare a place for you. I would not tell you this if it were not so. And after I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to myself, so that you will be where I am. You know the way that leads to the place where I am going." Thomas said to him, "Lord, we do not know where you are going; so how can we know the way to get there?" Jesus answered him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one goes to the Father except by me. (John 14:1-6) There is no other way to eternal life in the presence of God except in receiving Jesus into your life. Jesus was crucified, died, and resurrected to fulfill the prophecies of the Old Testament, the establish a new covenant, to guarantee forgiveness of sin, and give you the gift of the Holy Spirit. “And you also became God's people when you heard the true message, the Good News that brought you salvation. You believed in Christ, and God put his stamp of ownership on you by giving you the Holy Spirit he had promised. The Spirit is the guarantee that we shall receive what God has promised his people, and this assures us that God will give complete freedom to those who are his. Let us praise his glory! (Ephesians 1:13-14) There is no greater proof than the words of Jesus. There is no greater guarantee than His words. You will never find a more gracious offer from God. I would encourage you to read the New Testament. God loves you. The kingdom of God is for you. Keep me posted on your decision. Blessings, Dallas |
